Consumer electronics brand Akai has today released the all-new AMAICD06 Micro HiFi System – a compact audio solution complete with a built-in iPod dock. With a stylish black wooden finish, the Akai Micro System is an ideal audio system for the bedroom, study, or wherever space is at a premium.

Its built-in iPod dock enables users to listen to hours of music stored on their iPod through the system’s high quality 2-Way speakers. Boasting a total power output of 40 Watts RMS, the Micro System delivers clear and dynamic sound for an impressive audio performance.

Consumers can also play their favourite CDs, MP3 and WMA audio files through the Micro System, which features a front-loading CD player with programmable memory. In addition, the system also includes a USB port and SD/MMC card reader, enabling those with music stored on their USB flash drive or memory card to also enjoy quality sound from the audio system.

Akai has included a number of practical features within the Micro System, including an AM/FM radio with preset memory, as well as a built-in clock/sleep timer function, enabling users to wake up to their favourite radio station or iPod tunes.

A wireless remote control provides added convenience, allowing users to select and adjust their favourite tracks from across the room. Complete with a headphone jack for private listening, the Akai Micro HiFi System is an ideal solution for those seeking a compact, all in one home entertainment device.

Distributed exclusively by Audion Innovision, the Akai Micro HiFi System can be purchased from leading retailers from early September 2008, retailing at $199.95.
